How do people here in the UK view cannabis?
I’m here studying for the year and where I’m from, cannabis is legalized and I’m quite the stoner. Not trying to get into trouble while abroad but can I smoke in public?

Personally, I think the younger generation generally doesn’t mind and tends to be supportive. As long as you’re somewhat discreet about smoking it in public places, it should be fine.

We’re not too fussed. You’ll definitely come across people smoking it. The only real issue I can think of is that some might not be keen on the lingering smell.

What about the law enforcement? Will you get a fine.. or even worse arrested?

Unheard of. They will probably just turn a blind eye if you have a spliff or most they can do is confiscate it. I’ve walked down the street smoking a few times and has never been stopped.
