  Why is 420… called 420?

  Like why is it associated with cannabis? Anyone know the actual backstory of how 420 came about as a holiday?

  A quick internet search explains the term 420 is actually referred to the time a group of five high school students in California would meet to spark a joint. The High Times magazine helped popularized the term 420 and it is now associated with cannabis culture. It is even celebrated annually on April 20th.
