Ice Wine is a hybrid strain with an average THC content of 25%. This means that it is well suited to long term users, or those wanting the best high for their money. As it is a hybrid strain, its high contains characteristics of both sativa and indica. It was created by crossing Skunk #1, Afghani, Northern Lights, and Shiva strains, producing a child strain with pedigree.

Ice Wine has a somewhat fruity and earthy flavour, with main tasting notes of grape, blueberry, and pine. This results in a smooth tasting strain that does not linger on the tongue. Further to this, the aroma emitted by the main terpene, pinene, is light and refreshing. Due to this, Ice Wine is a light and relaxing strain from effects and taste, to smell.

This strain hits almost immediately with no build up time. At first, there is a strong head high that will uplift even the most downtrodden moments. This cerebral high, once settled, matures into a mellow head high that is highly relaxing. However, this cerebral high maintains its uplifting qualities all the way through, meaning that mental capacity is maintained, and the dreaded couch and thought lock are avoided.

As with every cannabis strain, there are potential negative effects. These include dry mouth and dry eyes, so if you are partaking in this particular strain ensure you have ready access to a drink, such as water, in order to keep hydrated and avoid the plague of dry mouth that can be very uncomfortable.

While this strain is great as an all day smoke, it shines as a wake and bake strain. No matter what time you are waking up for your day, indulging in Ice Wine will start you off on the right foot and prepare you for anything that will come your way, without impacting your ability to go about your business.
