I’m so glad that these companies are dying out left and right and getting all this woke shit out of here. Gaming, movies, TV shows, and even journalism have all been plagued with this BS. With the “gaming journalist” publication “Polygon” dying, it just goes to show that nobody actually cared about this stuff anyway.

Nobody cares about DEI in gaming, movies or anything really. Characters and stories should be based on their own merits, not checking off checkboxes to please a crowd of people who aren’t even showing up to the box office or purchasing their products. These developers and directors need to start focusing on what people ACTAULLY want – just good stories and good products. The world is finally healing though.

Posts like this are disgusting because it just shows how rent free “woke” culture lives in your head. People just want to be left alone to live their lives in peace. There is nothing wrong with having POCs and LBGTQ+ characters in movies. These movies are dying because transphobes like you can’t handle that someone that isn’t white and straight is the main character. Grow up.

I don’t think woke culture is going away, it’s just evolving. People are starting to realize it doesn’t need to be so in your face. Hopefully, that means we’ll see a return to strong storytelling, with less focus on pushing a message.

I don’t mind woke themes as long as there’s a solid story behind them. It’s only when the message becomes the entire point that it starts to feel forced.
